Round lidded finger lapped pantry box in excellent original black paint. The paint surface is dry and alligatored and built up. Made of oak splint and pine. Excellent condition with relatively minor paint loss and clean inside and on the bottom.

Extra large round and lidded pantry box with copper tacks and wooden pins. Original natural finish with mellow patina. Stamped “Reuben Hyde Winchendon” Excellent condition with minor crack to lid band that had been repaired long ago.

Blanket box with original red flame grained paint. Expertly constructed of birch and chestnut with dovetailed case and mortised till. Extremely fine condition with very little paint loss. Box is signed under till lid, "Willoughby Thomas, Beaver Creek". This identifies the piece of Maryland origin (where it was found). Willoughby lived from 1845 to 1917 and was of German decent. Willoughby was identified in the 1880 census living in Boonsboro, MD, while his father Joel was identified as living in Beaver Creek, MD.
